Leaving My 2013, Hoping a Bright 2014

Dear Diary,

I look back what I had gone through in this year. There was happiness, joy, sadness, anger, temptations, hangovers and the most painful of all "Loss". Life aint a bed of roses but the thorns could have been less.

The happiest moments were the times I spent with my friends but as most ones are now far past my grasp and so it is tough to get back the good old days . But that shouldn't stop me from havin fun. Life keeps moving and if we keep slacking around we wont accomplish anything and regret what the time I had wasted.

Parting with people is the hardest thing that suffered this year. Its tough to forget and move on.

I am thankful to my friends and family who stayed with me and supported me during my harshest and painful hours. Made things easier till today. Thank God for the lessons He taught me although His methods of teaching is painful. I just pray tomorrow onwards be light. Its a New Year, a fresh start. Have not planned a new year resolution cause I am bad at keeping it but prepared a "wish-list".

Whatever bad has happened in this year or in the past, leave it behind. You will need space to cherish and embrace the New Year. Lots to happen and lots to make things happen.

Wish you all a very Merry 2014.

Love and Peace,
Rajesh Mohan

Tea Pavillion - Dictionary in Public

A few days back i saw a post on Facebook ... Tea Pavilion, everyone is invited for Tea... I was clueless on what was Kochi Muziris Biennale in store for us now with Tea... The invitation was only the beginning. I used to be late, but this time i was really early for the show. Saw my compadre Edwin David Sam and rest of the Biennale team working for the Tea Pavilion Show.
They told me all about the program and was amazed that Tea was part of art. If it's a bad tea in the morning....I'm sure the rest of the day is gonna be bad.

The whole idea was from Dorothee Albercht. She is from Berlin and has been travelling all around the world, India, South Africa and China exploring the social, political and artistic spaces based on the culture and the global changes in these recent times. She has brought up a wonderful artwork and installations at Sao Paulo
Biennale 2012, the Guangzhou Triennal 2008. More on her can be looked upon www.dorotheealbrecht.net .

What has brought her here was, she had gone all over India and found one common habit of every Indian - having Tea. The day starts with one and ends in one. Its one thing we all do but none of has thought about this

in deep. Wake up...you need tea, in the afternoon we need a tea, after a whole days work its tea you need. She recognized it....its not only the tea, the conversations, the arguments, the approach of every people.

Her video installation was on Nandilal Kumar, who is one of the popular tea maker in Fort Kochi. Fort Kochi's wakeup call is his tea and Kochi-Muzris Biennale had invited him personally to spread his amazing tea for all. I am sure next time i go to Fort Kochi, i know where to find the best tea. All thanks to Kochi Muziris Biennale and the team who had the event at its best.

Kochi-Muziris Biennale: - Reviving the past, Changing the Present, Molding the Future

Kochi-Muziris Biennale. An experience like never before

"Art has always inspired everyone around with new thoughts helping to establish a better future"

It's been a long time since my previous post. Actually, I had nothing to write about. Lately The Event of a Lifetime had brought this urge to write.

As most of you might know The Show has already begun; and I know I should've started writing and posting about this from the very first day. The truth was that I was too caught up in the excitement and thrill to actually get around working on it. But, as the wise ones say, it's better late than never, right? :)

I know there are still many people out there who don't know what KMB (short for Kochi-Muziris Biennale) truly is but I promise you this is not "Saayipinte Ganamela". Biennale means every two years. This amazing event had first started in Venice (on 1895) and had spread across the world till today. It's an international arts festival featuring art from across the globe. I call it "The Celebration of Art".
This international art festival has now come to India and has taken Kochi as its home. I gratefully thank renowned artists, Riyaz Komu and Boss Krishnamachari, along with the Kochi Biennale team for bringing this epic event to Kerala, thus putting out beloved state on the world map as a cultural center.

This event showcases international and local paintings, sculptures, indoor and outdoor artwork, and so much more from artists around the world. So if you haven't seen an original artwork, here's your chance. In short, the KMB is a really awesome event that, I am sure, would blow your minds sky high. All you got to do is open your mind and see for yourself.

My first day at Biennale was amazing. The inauguration at Parade Ground (Fort Kochi) launched the KMB with a Big Bang. The show stealer, however, was the grand finale, which was a show performed by M.I.A with local artists. For me, mere words cannot describe what I felt just being there. The Kochi Biennale team worked really hard to ensure everything went smooth and well coordinated. Being with them, seeing their hard work, made me truly wish I could've been among them, making history.

This one day made me fall head-over-heels for KMB. I Hope all of you who read this post could come and see for yourself what Kochi-Muziris Biennale really is.

Who knows, you might feel the call of creativity yourself!

Help Required - Home for a Cat and her Kitten

Hi,
This is one thing I am writing with a heavy heart and blocked path.

Last week, a cat somehow broke in our home and gave birth to 2 kittens. They are now a week and 2 days old and the kittens still cant meow yet. As i live as a paying guestand the house owner is not interested in having pets around I wont be able to keep them safe any longer.

The area i live in is filled with stary dogs. Leaving the kittens and their mom outside (especially the kittens at this age) is the worst thing to do. They might not survive. I've been walking around day and night looking for a home for them, atleast until they grow up to stand on their own.

Im running out of ideas and hope. My prayer is that someone might come along to help them in this situation.

Please do call if anyone knows anybody in Kochi, Kerala, India willing to adopt them. I'm sure they wont be of any trouble to you.

Awaiting hope,
Rajesh Mohan

A Tribute to 9/11 Victims

September 11, 2001...A day most of us will never forget, a day many lost their loved ones, a day of pain, agony, distress and calamity struck the hearts of millions. 10 years have passed and still this pain rests in our hearts.

I aint got much words but... I salute with respect to the lives that were lost, people who lost their loved ones and who held strong through out these years, and to those who risked their lives to save many.

I came across a non profitable site started for 9/11 victims -  http://911day.org/ who is supporting the September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance. Many have posted their tribute here and I'm posting mine through this.

I'm praying for all , for each and everyone in this world, that we should never ever have a terrible day as this ever again.

My Angel, My love

My Angel, My love

my angel my love

I wake every morning with you in my mind,
Your love, your warmth brings joy inside.
Couldn't believe that just a few months past,
You, stranger, have become my love and my last.

Every moment you sit beside,
I hold you close, into my arms.
Sweeter moments were there but, its
The only moment I wish time stood still.

Gazing at your eyes I could feel,
Your everlasting love so strong, so real.
To hold your hand and walk aside,
I hope the day would never die.

I feel the world is peaceful when,
You lay on my chest and breath on my skin.
Theres nothing more I'd want from you,
Than your sweet lill smile that lured me to you.

The moment you stepped in my life I've found,
A whole new world with only love no doubt.
How ever i love you, I'm never satisfied,
Want to love you more till my heart desire.

You're my angel, the queen of my heart.
I'd promise to be there for you till the last.
You are so special and forever will
Stay my love and my angel still.

A day for the special memebers of your family - Friendship day

“A tyrant twister can shatter the world,
Any life can be taken by a sword,
The only bond which is mightier than all,
Is the strength of friendship
All for One and One for All” - Rajesh Mohan

I wake up one morning, gorgeous day, birds chirping, flower wide open, felt real good. Oh what a wonderful day!...I reach work with great energy just to see my boss waiting for me. He has got a CLIENT WORK for me. I thought its a good start, a new day, a new work. As soon as the client came online everything turned to hell. He was asking the toughest things and i was just a beginner. Tried my best till night.

Finally a few friends came over and looked at what the client was talking. We all looked at one another and then we burst out laughing like mad people. They said they'd help me out and we spent the whole night playing laughing and working. The part i'm trying to emphasize is if they hadnt come over i would have gone crazy and never reached home that day. Their presence made work easier and fun, lightened my troubles.

Friends, they are with you when you're weak, tried or sick. They stay close to us share every joy and pain. There are moments when they can be pain in the neck but most of the time they watch out for us.

I've got a lot of friends and they are very annoying, irritating and above all loving, caring and with us in every moment.

Now adays friends are not the ones we see every day. Thanks to social networking we've all got friends in every part of the world. There are people among those too who cares for us even if we have a really insignificant problem.

When we look back there are all sorts of crazy stuff we all did with our gang and we smile (laugh) thinking for those moments. These we aint gonna get back when we get to a certain age.

Friendship day, the first sunday of August, is a special day which we should spend time and rebuild those special relationship with our friends. I asure you it wont be a total lose. So make the day a special one among your friends...

When the world turns their back on you, friends are the only family you’ve got...

I'm posting a few pics i'd love to share with everyone, the moments i will never forget spending time with my friends.

Hope you all have a great
friendship day.

Please do share in this post your most memorable day with your friends....

"Mother's Day"

"Every goodness that I have, i owe to the person who taught me, my mom"-Rajesh Mohan

Me and my mom - Really miss you

"Mother's Day"...the day all takes the pain to show their mom how much they appreciate everything she had done for them...breakfast in bed, drawn and colored cards sayin “I Love You Mom” and lots more...

Its celebrated every second Sunday of May in most of the countries. Where as in other countries it differs like in March and April. Although Mothers day was not common at first in India , it has also come to become a part of our culture now.

Mom, the one person in the family who stays calm and sorts out problems, who stands by us through thick and thin. Who me get comfort from by lying on her lap, sleep hugging her. The person we come running to calling “Mummy” when we get scared, who holds our ears when we do naughty stuff LOL. Likewise I'm sure everyone would have lots of things coming to their minds when you think of mom.

I remember I used to run crying while sleeping after seeing some horror movie. When I fail for exams and come home with an F, she was the first person I’d go to. I’d always keep tugging her dress so she won’t go for work. The one person I loved my entire life – my Mom. I, my sis and bro would spend the previous day of Mothers Day preparing a card. Even today I’d spend the day for her alone no matter where I am although she is no more.

According me I wouldn’t say children should make breakfast in bed or struggle to get her a gift but one thing that must be done is No matter where you are and how old you have become ... spend the day with her, love her and make her a really proud and happy mom because that’s the only thing she’d want from you.

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms out there

A trip to R-Block

Have you ever woken up a beautiful morning and wanted to do something refreshing, something really different from your routine day. Then I've got an option for you - “Toddy with Mango” at R-Block in Kumarakam. I’ve tried it and its surprisingly really cool.

Abhilash, Edwin, Sajan and I headed out to Kumarakam one day. After a lot of travelling we finally reached Kodimatha Boat Station. @#@$@%$%$% :: LOL The first thing we saw was a drunk man shouting all sorts of filthy words to all travellers who sat in the boat. :D Ha-ha. It was a funny sight. Anyway we didn't care much. We got on the boat and we started our trip - destination “R-Block”.

Wow...As soon as the boat started from the port I felt the magic begin. I’m sure no one could ever sleep in this ride. Trees arranged in a perfect order, the blue sky, blue sea, swarm of ducks passing along side by side with the boat..all perfect. A Gorgeous View. With this ride we could see the conditions the locals live in but they were really happy to see visitors on the boats passing by. Kids laughing and waving hand, people swimming, some fishing. Most of us grabbed the cameras and started taking shots of all what we could get. What ever we take will never grab the true beauty of this place. Its true beauty can only be captured in our mind. The picturesque was magnificent.

Peoples only transport here

Dancing Ducks LOL

Speacial House boat for tourists

After 45 minutes of travel we stepped out of the boat. A green color painted home stood right in front of us. As we entered a huge grin came upon our faces. Its "Toddy" time :) . We started with a bottle 4 glasses and 4 Tapioca-fry,Fish curry(a great combination). As specialities we ordered the Great Dragon Prawn adn Pearl Spot Fish (Karemeen) all hot and spicy...just right!!! By the end of meals we realised we had finished three bottles of Toddy. LOL. Abhilash was singing and i think i remember Edwin laughing A LOT. LOL

Later we hung out at the bridge and started photoshoot...The master photographers being Abhilash and Sajan and the handsome models being Me and Edwin :D . I could feel the wind passing by me which had rthe aroma of freedom and peace. It was a really special moment for us all.

We knew by about 3:30pm theres another boat back to Kottayam, So we ordered another bottle of Toddy this time a new combination "Toddy with Mango". I'm sure only a very few people has tried it. When ever you come to R-Block try this out and let me know.. :)

By the end of that bottle we were stuffed. The boat arrived and it was time to bid bye to Prashanth. We boarded the boat back to Kottayam.

Wow!!! it was one great jolly weekend. Hoping to go there another day.
